“Honey, I’m Good” by Andy Grammer

This song isn’t exactly an immortal classic, but it was a highly pleasant and quite refreshing alternative to the sleazy Country “love” songs prevalent in the genre at the time…a song about turning down the beautiful piece of ass because you already have someone at home and intend to remain faithful to them. Granted, the ode to marital fidelity in the face of temptation has been done better many times in Country music (so many, in fact, that the Classic Country supergroup the Old Dogs even parodied it with “Cut the Mustard”), but it’s still nice to see that tried-and-true (no pun intended) song model making a comeback, especially given what had supplanted it lately.

Verdict: Good.
